I hope to see you in San Diego next week.<\/p>\n<p>OpenVSP 3.5.0 has a bunch of features across the board that should improve usability for a lot of you. High on the list is the ability to import files from OpenVSP v2. This import isn&#8217;t perfect*, but it should do the lions share of moving a model from v2 to v3.<\/p>\n<p>On the good looks side of things, this version adds support for Retina display on MacOS, PNG format screen shots, and also saving screen shots at greater than on-screen resolution. This should help improve publication quality figures from OpenVSP.<\/p>\n<p>Features:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>v2 Import<\/li>\n<li>Retina display on MacOS<\/li>\n<li>Super-resolution screen shots<\/li>\n<li>PNG format screen shots<\/li>\n<li>Improved and quantitative view control (repeatable views)<\/li>\n<li>Geom Browser converted to programmatic GUI<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Bug Fixes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Change how point cloud files are saved, prevent out of memory on read<\/li>\n<li>Fix O(n^2) bugs with points and triangles in XML (copy\/paste and save)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>* Components that don&#8217;t yet exist in v3 can not convert. Also, some parameters like skinning tangent strengths don&#8217;t convert 1:1, so a reasonable approximate value is assigned.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A little late for New Years, but just in time for SciTech!
