Just in time for AIAA AVIATION, a mostly bugfix release with a couple of small enhancements too.

If you’re the kind of person who hasn’t embraced using Sets when doing analysis in OpenVSP, you really should reconsider. However for those of you who run VSPAERO with the Shown Set, we will now not no-show the geometry when you run VSPAERO. This will allow you to re-run VSPAERO without having to Show the geometry. It will also prevent problems with control surfaces, actuator disks, and other such things when the active geometry Set gets No-Shown in the middle of doing things.

For everyone using the projected area calculation for rotor download calculations, there is now an option to break down the projected area by the segment, annulus, or sector of the disk that it corresponds to. This is done at the wireframe resolution of the disk shown on screen. This option is available through the legacy Projected Area GUI, but all the cool kids are using Projected Area through the Geometry Analysis GUI now. It is available there too.

The Results Viewer GUI was enhanced with buttons to export a result to CSV, to delete a result, and to delete all results.

A small marker was added to the Prop Geom to indicate where zero degrees of rotation is measured from. This is implemented as a feature line like the thrust direction vector and rotation direction circle.

There are a handful of bug fixes – mostly things that were identified by users. Thanks for the help.

The Discrete Visibility Results were improved and some memory leaks were plugged. It also now defaults to DBA and falls back to Triangle — hopefully this will be more robust.

A few asserts were fixed up in the process of debugging some crashes and ill behavior.

The Pipe type beam section outputs to NASTRAN files were fixed.
